Spanish Peaks Country Epic
This big ride follows a good portion of the roads used in the Pony Xpress and Rad gravel races. You’ll traverse pavement and gravel through long, steady climbs, epic views, and lengthy descents as you head west towards the Huajatolla (or Spanish Peaks).
Be prepared as this is a long ride that gets pretty remote at times. You can not count on cell service or resupply. This is what riding in Spanish Peaks country is all about! After the halfway point, you’ll descend almost continuously back down towards Ludlow, where you’ll kick out onto the plains for a final push back to town. Time for a nice beer on the depot patio — you earned it.
